How to re-oil an oak table in an afternoon
A twenty-minute job twice a year keeps solid wood looking new.
Clear the surface, sand lightly along the grain and wipe away dust. Apply a thin coat of oil with a lint-free cloth, wait fifteen minutes and buff off any excess. Leave it for a day before use.
Less is more
Two thin coats beat one thick one every time.
